Welcome to Vidpu. By accessing or using our website, services, and tools (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to the following Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

1. Service Description

Vidpu is a cloud-based video hosting and sharing platform aimed at providing users with high-speed video storage and playback capabilities. We act as a passive conduit for the content uploaded by our users.

2. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all content, data, and information specifically video files ("Content") that you upload, post, or display via the Service. Vidpu does not claim ownership of your Content.

  • You warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to share the specifically uploaded Content.
  • You agree not to upload any Content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

3. Prohibited Content

We have a zero-tolerance policy for the following types of content. Violation will result in immediate termination of your account and deletion of files:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): We strictly prohibit CSAM. Any such content detected will be reported to the relevant authorities immediately, including the NCMEC.
  • Terrorism and Violent Extremism: Content promoting terrorism or violent acts.
  • Malware and Phishing: Files containing viruses, worms, or malicious code.

4. Account Termination

Vidpu reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason, including but not limited to prolonged inactivity or legal requirements.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Vidpu makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of the Service. We do not guarantee that user files will be stored indefinitely or that the Service will be uninterrupted.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Vidpu, its operators, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how Vidpu collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

We believe in data minimization. We only collect what is necessary to provide the Service:

  • Account Data: Email address and username provided during registration.
  • Usage Logs: Information such as IP addresses, browser types, and access times, which are automatically collected for security, fraud prevention, and service optimization.
  • Content Data: Metadata associated with the files you upload (e.g., file names, sizes, types).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and maintain the Service.
  • To prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others. We generally do not share your data with third parties, except:

  • Service Providers: Who assist us in operating our website (e.g., server hosting), strictly under confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order or search warrant).

4. Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information. However, no data transmission over the Internet is guaranteed to be 100% secure.

5. Cookies

We use cookies to enhance your experience (e.g., keeping you logged in). You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies, but some parts of our Service may not function properly.

Copyright / DMCA

Vidpu respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement.

1. Notification of Infringement

If you are a copyright owner or an agent thereof and believe that any Content on Vidpu infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a notification pursuant to the DMCA by providing our Copyright Agent with the following information in writing:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (e.g., direct URL links).
  • Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Please allow up to 48 hours for a response. We prioritize removing infringing content.

2. Counter-Notification

If you believe that your Content that was removed (or to which access was disabled) is not infringing, or that you have the authorization from the copyright owner, you may send a counter-notification containing the following information:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the content that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the content appeared before it was removed.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or a misidentification of the content.
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address.

3. Repeat Infringers

Vidpu will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. A repeat infringer is a user who has been notified of infringing activity more than twice.
